EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE Athletics has joined with Prairie Farms Dairy, Inc., to take time each week to honor a Cougar student-athlete who excels both in competition and in the classroom.
This week's honoree is women's track and field and cross country runner Conradette King. A junior from Jefferson City, Missouri, King is pursuing a degree in exercise science and holds a grade point average of 3.377.
King led the women's track and field team during the indoor season in the mile. She posted a team-best time of five minutes, 22.43 seconds at the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships, finishing in eighth. She also has competed in the 3K race at the Tiger Invitational, finishing in a time of 11:06.04 and ninth place.
The outdoor track season kicks off March 27-28 at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational.
