SIUE Women’s Cross Country Completes Season at NCAA Regionals

PEORIA, Ill. – Junior Conradette King enters top ten on the career record list at SIUE in the team's 32nd place Regional finish.

King's time of 22 minutes, 31.6 seconds is a personal best by 38 seconds, and moves her to seventh-best on the all-time 6K list at SIUE.

"This was a huge breakthrough for Conradette," said Head Coach Eileen McAllister. "She has really embraced her role on the team of being an upperclassman and top runner."

Freshman Jess Clarke entered the all-time 6K freshman list with her time of 23:32.9, which moves her to 10th place. Crossing the line third for the Cougars and also moving to 14th on the all-time 6K freshman list was Haley Miller with a time of 23:44.

Completing the top five were Haley Briggs and Olivia Rohr, finishing with times of 23:50.3 and 24:14, respectively.

Erin Kennedy finished sixth for SIUE with a time of 24:30.8.

The Cougars will return all but one runner for next season.

"The work ethic and the talent is there," said McAllister. "Conradette will continue to share her story with the underclassmen of making the transition from high school to college running. They just need to have the confidence in themselves that they can compete."
