EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The SIUE track and field teams will travel to Columbia, Missouri, to compete in the Tom Botts Invitational Friday and Saturday. The event will take place at Walton Stadium on the campus of The University of Missouri.
Top Division I talent from around the Midwest, with Drake, Missouri State, Missouri, Northern Iowa, Western Illinois, Saint Louis and Creighton are set to compete this weekend.
"We are looking forward to the meet at Mizzou," SIUE Head Coach Scott Block said. "The level of competition is going to be some of the best that we have seen this outdoor season. With where the training is at right now, I think this will be one of our most productive competitions of the season."
This will be the first time since the 2015 season that the Cougars will compete in the Tom Botts Invitational. At that meet, SIUE's LaDonna Caston broke the current 100m hurdles school record (13.40).
