Frogner Named Academic All-District First Team

Complete List

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Junior Mia Frogner (Oslo, Norway) of SIUE women's tennis was named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District V first team.

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and academically.

Frogner is a business administration major with a 3.96 grade point average. This season, she earned a place on the All-Ohio Valley Conference second team for the second consecutive year. She compiled an overall singles record of 27-9, including a 6-3 record in the OVC, from the No. 2 spot.

"Mia has done a great job for our program all year," said SIUE Head Coach Nick Mueller. "She is a very strong student and has done some great things on the tennis court as well. Mia is very deserving of this recognition."

Frogner will advance to the All-America Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America honorees will be released later this month.
