SIUE Women's Tennis Faces Tennessee State, Belmont at Home

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - SIUE women's tennis returns home for Friday and Saturday matches against Ohio Valley Conference opponents Tennessee State and Belmont.

Friday's match is set for 12 p.m. while Saturday's match is at 10 a.m. Both matches will be played on the SIUE Tennis Courts.

SIUE, 11-4 overall and 3-1 in OVC play, has won three straight conference matches.

"Our team has played well lately, due in part to our team goals," said SIUE Head Coach Nick Mueller. "They are driven and hungry for something bigger."

Tennessee State, 8-5 overall, enters the weekend 1-3 in OVC play with its lone win coming against Belmont.

Belmont is still seeking its first conference win at 0-4, with an overall record of 2-10.

Highlighting the Cougars' singles play is Madeline Hill and Monique Krutak, who both remain undefeated in the OVC. Hill has won 12 straight matches from the No. 3 position while Krutak has won seven consecutive matches at No. 4 or No. 5.

"The exciting part is that we haven't played our best tennis yet," said Mueller.
