SIUE Women’s Tennis Blanks Murray State

MURRAY, Tenn. – SIUE women's tennis rolls to its third straight Ohio Valley Conference victory with a 7-0 win over Murray State.

The Cougars improve to 3-1 in conference play and 11-4 overall while the Racers fall to 2-2.

Mia Frogner and Madeline Hill earned a win at No. 1 doubles along with Lexi Aranda and Morgan Steffes at No. 3 doubles.

All six Cougars earned singles wins. Hill extends her singles streak to 12 straight, including remaining a perfect 4-0 in conference play. Monique Krutak earns her seventh straight singles victory with her win today.

Completing the sweep for the Cougars was Aranda at No. 1, Frogner at No. 2, Steffes at No.5, and McKenzie Thomas at No. 6.

"Our team had a great weekend," said SIUE Head Coach Nick Mueller. "The doubles play was much more productive. We will get some rest and look forward to next weekend."

The Cougars return home next weekend for Friday and Saturday matches against Tennesse State and Belmont at the SIUE Tennis Courts.
