EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE women's tennis heads to Boca Raton, Florida, for two matchups against Florida Atlantic and Xavier.

The Cougars are currently on a six-match win streak with an overall record of 7-2. The trip will be the first outdoor competition the team has seen.

"The trip to Florida will provide our team a chance to train outside for a few days as well as compete against some solid opponents," said SIUE Head Coach Nick Mueller. "Playing outside brings about the true essence of tennis. The outside elements have always been a part of tennis competition, and our team is anxious to start playing outdoors again."

The first match against Florida Atlantic is set for Sunday at 10 a.m. CST. The match against Xavier is Wednesday at 11 a.m. CST.

Lexi Aranda and Madeline Hill, both 7-2 in singles play, are on six-match win streaks from the No. 1 and No. 3 positions, respectively.

"Florida Atlantic and Xavier are good programs and I expect both opponents to be challenging for our team," said Mueller. "Our team has made strides over the past few weeks, and we are looking forward to building off that."
