LAST TIME OUT: SIUE (1-1-1) is coming off of a shuout on the road against Indiana State on Sunday. The team defeated the Sycaomres 4-0, controlling the entire game. The Cougars saw many positive takeaways from the day and hope to continue to capitalize on their opportunities.
 
HIGHLIGHTING THE COUGARS: The Cougars were led by MacKenzie Litzsinger who scored two goals, one of which was assisted by Ashlin West. The other two goals came from Emma Dutko and Lily Schnieders
 
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: MacKenzie Litzsinger recieved OVC weekly honors for her offensive performance against Indiana State. She scored two goals off of four total shots on the day. Her outstanding performance in just one game earnerd her Offensive Player of the Week.

LAST MEETING: The Cougars last met with the Bears on September 10, 2017. Missouri State left with a 5-1 victory and has an overall series lead of 6-2-2. The Cougars two wins in the series occured in September of 2015 and 2013. 
 
SCOUTING THE BEARS: Prior to Friday nights game, the Bears are currently 2-1 on the season. The team has a total of 24 shots on the season with 14 of those being on goal and six finding the back of the net. The Bears have had six different players score each of the goals. Kaitlin Maxwell has a total of 11 saves on the season in a total of 270 minutes of play. She is the only goalkeeper who has seen action this season.
