Pink Game: Cancer survivors will receive free admission plus one for the game Sunday. The first 150 fans will be receiving a pink tote bag and any fan wearing pink will get in for just three dollars.
Previously: The Cougars fell to Eastern Illinois 1-0 at home last Sunday. SIUE outshot the Panthers 21-10.
Last Shot: The matchup Sunday will be SIUE's last regular season home game of the year. The Cougars have a chance of hosting OVC Tournament games depending on their seed.
Leading the Way: SIUE's Allison Wendt is the team's leading points scorer with seven (two goals, three assists). Wendt has played the super sub role superbly for SIUE this season, especially in OVC games, recording all three of her assists during conference play.
What a Pass: Courtney Benning leads the Cougars in assists with four, which is tied for third most in the OVC this season.
Game-Winners: SIUE midfielder Angel Ikeda has two game-winning goals this season. Both of her goals came in overtime against Austin Peay 9/21 and Murray State 9/23.
Scouting the Redhawks: SEMO is coming off a 1-0 win over Eastern Illinois Thursday. The Redhawks are led by Esmie Gonzalez who has six goals on the season, which is tied for fifth most in the OVC. Gonzalez has three game-winning goals, good for second best in the OVC. Bailey Redden has started six games in goal for the Redhawks, amassing a 2-2-2 record. Redden is the save percentage leader (.836) in the OVC this season.
Coaches Corner: "We have to start recognizing when we need to be a bit more composed," SIUE Head Coach Derek Burton said. "We have to start pressuring the opponent on their end of the field, utilizing the talent we have back there."
