Senior Night: SIUE women's soccer will honor its three seniors before the Austin Peay match Friday. Seniors Avery Anderson, Natalie Freeman and Ashlyn Walter will be recognized for their Cougar athletic careers. 
 
Previously: The Cougars opened up conference play last Friday with a 2-1 win at Eastern Kentucky. SIUE then fell at Morehead State 1-0. 
 
Goal Scorer: Freshman Amanda DiNardo picked up her third goal of the season against EKU. DiNardo now leads the team in points (6) and goals scored. She is tied for first in the Ohio Valley Conference in game-winning goals (2) and fourth in total goals.   
 
Spreading the Wealth: The Cougars have 12 different players who have recorded at least one point this season. Allison Wendt picked up an assist against EKU, putting her second on the team in points with five (two goals, one assist). Junior midfielder Courtney Benning netted her first goal of the season against EKU.
 
Series Information: SIUE is 2-6-3 all-time against Austin Peay. The Cougars fell on the road 2-1 against the Govs last season. SIUE holds a 7-3-1 record all-time against Murray State. The two team's last meeting resulted in a 2-1 win for Murray State last season. 
 
Scouting the Governors: Austin Peay is riding a four-game unbeaten streak and carries a 6-2-1 (1-0-1 OVC) record heading into Korte Stadium. Sophomore midfielder Claire Larose, who is second in the OVC in goals scored (5), leads the Govs. Larose also is third in the OVC with 28 shots taken. Austin Peay goalkeeper Mary Parker Powell has started all nine games in net. She is third in the OVC in goals against average (1.00/game).
 
Scouting the Racers: Murray State will take on Eastern Illinois Friday before playing SIUE Sunday. The Racers are 5-1-1 (1-0) on the season, with their only loss coming at Ole Miss Aug. 26. MSU's Miyah Watford leads the OVC in goals (seven), points (15), shots (46), goals per game (1.00), points per game (2.14) and shots per game (6.57). Murray State's Abby Jones leads the OVC in assists (5) and assist per game (0.71).
