SENIOR DAY (OCT. 6): Come support your seniors against Tennessee Tech as they will be playing in one of their last home games at Korte Stadium. The players who will be honored include Rachael Brots, Lindsey Fencel, Emily Grahl, Caroline Hoefert, Sydney Moore, Kelsey Pruett, Juli Rossi and Mariah Vollmer
PINK ZONE (OCT. 8): Cougars Athletics will be giving away free pink t-shirts to the first 100 fans before the match with Jacksonville State to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There also will be a raffle during the game for a pink soccer ball signed by the team. 
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN EAGLES: The Golden Eagles are 3-1-1 in the Ohio Valley Conference and are currently on a four game unbeaten streak. Mayra Tarraga Manzanal is tied for first on the team with six points (2 goals, 2 assists). Tina Marolt has four assists on the year, which puts her tied for fourth in the OVC. Kari Naerdemann has started all 11 games in net for Tech where she averages 4.45 saves per game, which is good for third best in the OVC. 
SCOUTING THE GAMECOCKS: Jacksonville State plays Eastern Illinois on Friday before coming into Korte Stadium on Sunday. The Gamecocks are led by Danielle Monroe, who is fourth in the OVC in points (13) and goals (6). Monroe has tallied 31 shots on the season. The next leading shot taker for the Gamecocks has 12. Caroline Robinson has started all 13 games for JSU in goal, where she has 47 saves on the season, which is fifth in the OVC. 
TOP PERFORMERS: Freshman MacKenzie Litzsinger leads the Cougars in points with nine (4 goals, 1 assist) and shots on goal (10). Litzsinger is tied for third in the OVC with two game-winning goals. Emily Grahl leads the team and is fourth in the OVC with four assists on the season. Grahl has taken 13 shots and has scored one goal. 
WHAT A SAVE: Juli Rossi has 51 saves on the season which is good for third in the OVC. Rossi averages 4.25 saves per game, which places her fourth in the conference. Rossi won the OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honors in week two this season.   
CONFERENCE LEADERS: In OVC play this season, the Cougars lead the conference in points (34) and goals (12). SIUE is also first in assists per game (2). 
SIDE NOTES: Senior defender Kelsey Pruett scored her first career goal for the Cougars last Sunday against EKU. Peyton Roehnelt leads SIUE in shots taken with 17. Roehnelt scored a penalty kick against EKU for her second goal this season. 
NEXT UP: The Cougars will travel to UT Martin Oct. 13, then to Southeast Missouri Oct. 15.
