LAST TIME: The Cougars fell at Austin Peay 2-1 after giving up two goals off penalty kicks. 

SUPERHERO NIGHT: Get your costumes ready for "Superhero Night". SIUE student athletes will be rocking their favorite superhero costume so come join them in the festivities.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES: Morehead State comes into Korte Stadium on a two-game unbeaten streak after starting the season 1-7-0. The Eagles last defeated UT Martin 4-2 at home. Morehead State is led by Ashley Ritchie, who has two goals (both game winners) on 18 shots. Michelle Washburn has started every game and played every minute in goal for the Eagles. Washburn is first in the Ohio Valley Conference for saves (62) and saves per game (6.20).

SCOUTING THE COLONELS: Eastern Kentucky will play Eastern Illinois on Friday before they come into Korte Stadium this Sunday. EKU currently sits atop the OVC table going unbeaten (2-0-2) through four conference games. The Colonels are 5-1-2 in their last eight games. EKU is led by the duo of Jordan Foster and Emmi Carrol. Foster has 47 shots on the season, which is good for second most in the OVC. Foster is sixth in the OVC in points (10), while Carrol is tied for eighth (9). The two are tied for fifth in the OVC for goals with four a piece. 

TOP PERFORMERS: Freshman MacKenzie Litzsinger leads the Cougars in points with seven (3 goals, 1 assist) and shots on goals (9). Caroline Hoefert has five points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Emily Grahl has four points and leads the team in assists (2).

WHAT A SAVE: Juli Rossi has 48 saves on the season which is good for third in the OVC. Rossi averages 4.80 saves per game, which places her second in the conference. Rossi won the OVC Goalkeeper of the Week honors in week two this season.  

SPREADING THE WEALTH: SIUE's last seven goals were scored by seven different players. Andrea Frerker, Peyton Roehnelt and Avery Anderson all scored their first goals of the season against Belmont last Friday. Litzsinger, Emily Grahl and Allison Wendt scored the three goals against Eastern Illinois. Krista McMahan scored the lone goal in the defeat at Austin Peay.

CONFERENCE LEADERS: In OVC play this season, the Cougars lead the conference in points (19) and are tied for first in goals (7).

NEXT UP:  The Cougars continue their homestand where they will face Tennessee Tech Oct. 6 then Jacksonville State Oct. 8 at Korte Stadium.
