OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. – SIUE women's golf took 11 strokes off its first round score, shooting a 318 Tuesday, and remain in eighth place after two rounds at the 2016 Ohio Valley Conference Championship.
Eastern Kentucky remains atop the team standings with a 587. Jacksonville State has a 607 and moved up from third place to second place. Morehead State moved from fifth to third place. The Eagles have a 612.
Individually for the Cougars, Miranda Lidisky is tied for 23rd with a 158. Madison Frerking is alone in 29th place with a 159. Alison Gorman is tied for 36th with a 164. Brittney Jostes is 40th with a 167. Molly Marcum has a 172 and is tied for 43rd.
Anna Gleixner of EKU, who led the tournament after the first round is now tied atop of the leaderboard with Murray State's Moa Folke. Both golfers are two-under par at 142. Emma Kate Liu, of Belmont, is third with a total score of 148.
SIUE will again pair with Belmont for Wednesday final round. The Cougars get underway just before 9 a.m. at Hampton Cove.
