LAST GAME
• Loyola shot 20 of 25 from the free throw line as the Ramblers defeated SIUE women's basketball 56-43 at the Gentile Center. In what was a close contest for much of the game, Loyola took advantage of its free throw opportunities, hitting 9 of 12 in the final 10 minutes
 
OPENING TIP
• This is the seventh season for SIUE Head Coach Paula Buscher. She led the Cougars to a Women's Basketball Invitational appearance last season, the second such NCAA Division I postseason tournament appearance for SIUE.
• Coach Buscher needs two victories for 100 at SIUE. She recorded her 300th career victory last season.
• Senior Sydney Bauman is playing in her 100th career game this afternoon.
• Coach Buscher announced four signees during early signing period. They include 5-9 guard Piper Francis (Mountain View, Missouri), 5-10 guard Tori Handley (Jeffersonville, Indiana), 5-11 forward Mikayla Kinnard (Louisville, Kentucky) and Ajulu Thatha (Indianapolis, Indiana).
• The Cougars have not yielded more than 22 field goals in a game since the season opener against Illinois State.
• SIUE is ranked No. 5 nationally in fewest turnovers with 75.
• The Cougars lead the OVC in fewest turnovers per game with 12.5 per contest.
• The Cougars are 6-1 all-time against the Cougars of Chicago State. SIUE lost 69-56 in the last meeting between the two schools (12/2/08).
Nakiah Bell, Sydney Bauman and Allie Troeckler each have been the leading scorers in two games so far this season.
• Five different players have scored more than 10 points in a game 
• The Cougars are ranked No. 6 nationally in three-point field goal percentage defense (20.8 percent).
• Bauman leads the OVC in rebounds per game (10.2) and is ranked No. 41 nationally.
