Scamihorn, Goff Lead Cougars at Bradley Pink Classic

PEORIA, Ill. – The SIUE cross country teams set multiple personal records Friday at the Bradley Pink Classic. There were over 30 teams competing in the meet from top Division I schools from around the Midwest.  

The SIUE men placed 21st overall out of 33 teams in the 8K race, which featured 273 runners.

Ben Scamihorn took 21st place for the Cougars with a PR of 25:08.7. His time places him No. 21 all-time in SIUE history. Liam O'Connell also ran a PR time (26:05.2).

For the SIUE women, Ally Goff ran a PR (21:56.3) in the women's 6K. Her time puts her at No. 7 all-time for SIUE.

SIUE's Emily Ellis ran the second fastest time in a 6K for a freshman in SIUE history (22:58.8).

Kassidy Dexheimer (24:01.5) and Keri Burmester (23:07.7) also ran PRs for the SIUE women.

The women placed 33rd out of 39 teams overall.

The Cougars will be back in action Oct. 27 at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
