Florida Relays Info: SIUE's John Barnes, Nichyria Byrd, Brittney Gibbs, Matt O'Connor, Ethan Poston and Ben Scamihorn will participate at the Relays. Competition is set to begin Thursday afternoon and will go through Saturday night at the Percy Beard Track in Gainesville, Florida.

John Creer Invite Info: Most of the SIUE track and field team will compete at the John Creer Invite. The meet is set to take place Friday and Saturday in St. Charles, Missouri.

WashU Invite Info: SIUE's Keri Burmester and Austin Woodard are the lone athletes competing at the WashU Invite. Both Burmester and Woodard will be participating in the 10k race.

Athlete of the Week: O'Connor was awarded the Ohio Valley Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week for his performances at the Bill Cornell Classic last weekend. He recorded the top OVC mark in the 800m (1:51.29), as well as running the second fastest OVC 1,500m time (3:52.62). O'Connor's 800m time is 20th fastest in the NCAA this season.

That's a Winner: Byrd took first in the women's triple jump at the Bill Cornell Classic with a leap of 39-3, which is second best in the OVC this season. Byrd's long jump mark of 19-1.5 from last weekend is bests in the OVC. Poston placed first in the men's high jump (6-8.75), his mark is best in the OVC.

Looking Ahead: The Cougars will participate in the Joe Walker Invite in Oxford, Mississippi, Apr. 12-13.
