TONIGHT: SIUE returns home after two consecutive road games. 
 
AT THE HELM: Cale Wassermann is in his first season as SIUE's head coach. He is the eighth head coach in program history. 
 
HOMECOMING: The Cougars defeated Belmont last season to run their record to 11-0 in Homecoming games since the return to NCAA Division I in 2008.  
 
SERIES STUFF: SIUE owns an 8-2-2 mark in the series with Central Arkansas. The two schools joined the Missouri Valley Conference together in 2010. SIUE is unbeaten in the last eight meeting between the two programs. The last meeting came in 2016, a scoreless tie in Conway, Arkansas. The Cougars have faced the Bears twice in Homecoming games, earning wins in 2013 and 2015.
 
OVERTIME: SIUE has already played four overtime games this year, including each of the last three games. The Cougars are 1-2-1 in overtime games this season. Last year SIUE played five overtime games the entire season. The school record for overtime games in a season is nine, both in 2014 and again in 2016.
 
SCORING LEADERS: Jorge Gonzalez is the leading score in the Mid-American Conference. He has a league-best six goals and 14 points. His six total goals rank No. 16 in the NCAA.
