THE COUGARS: SIUE men's soccer is currently on a five-game winning streak and a six-game unbeaten streak. This is the Cougars' second winning streak of at least four games this year. 
STRONG START: SIUE looks to continue the best start to a season in the Division I era. The previous best start came in 2012 when the Cougars were 7-3 through the first 10 games of the season.
STRONG START PART II: The Cougars are trying to move to 2-0 in Mid-American Conference play after winning their MAC opener last week 3-2 in double overtime at home over Northern Illinois. Last season, the Cougars opened the MAC season with a win but dropped their second game. 
PREVIOUSLY: The Cougars got two goals from Lachlan McLean and another from Jorge Gonzalez to outlast Butler in Indianapolis Tuesday night. 
SCORING LEADERS: McLean leads the Cougars, the Mid-American Conference and is now 10th nationally in scoring with 22 points, coming on nine goals and four assists. His nine goals also are most in the MAC and the most at SIUE since Christian Volesky scored nine during the 2012 season. Jorge Gonzalez is second on the team in scoring at 14 points coming on seven goals. He is third in the MAC in scoring and goals. 
SERIES STUFF: The Cougars and Broncos have met only once, last year. WMU won the game 1-0 on its way to winning the MAC regular season title.
