EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE Cougar Basketball is back on FOX Sports Midwest.
For the third consecutive season, SIUE basketball fans across the Midwest will be able to follow the Cougars on television.
SIUE Athletics and FOX Sports Midwest (FSM) renewed their agreement to televise SIUE Cougar men's basketball on the regional sports network that also features St. Louis Cardinals baseball and St. Louis Blues hockey among other programs.
The deal, which began with a five-game television package during the 2012-2013 season, is now nine games for the 2014-15 season beginning with SIUE's Dec. 3 game against SIU Carbondale at the Vadalabene Center.
"We are excited to continue our relationship with FOX Sports Midwest," SIUE Director of Athletics Dr. Brad Hewitt said. "This is one of the greatest opportunities that has been presented to us as a department as well as a University to reach millions of homes on nine different occasions. It is advertising and exposure that we could not otherwise afford. We appreciate our continued partnership with FOX Sports Midwest."
FOX Sports Midwest also will be on hand for SIUE's Dec. 13 matchup at the Chaifetz Arena against Saint Louis.
The Cougars will have seven more games at the Vadalabene Center that will be telecast on FSM. The list includes Milwaukee (12/20), Chicago State (12/22), Tennessee Tech (1/3), Austin Peay (1/22), Murray State (1/24), Eastern Illinois (2/14), and Southeast Missouri (2/19).
"The SIUE basketball program is on the rise, and we're pleased to bring exposure to Cougar Basketball throughout our six-state footprint," said FOX Sports Midwest Senior Vice President and General Manager Jack Donovan.
SIUE's full schedule of games is available at SIUECougars.com.
