ABOUT THE TIGERS
Tennessee State is in the midst of a three-game losing streak. The Tigers have OVC wins at home over Jacksonville State and on the road at Tennessee Tech. Senior Patrick Miller leads the OVC in scoring with 23.2 points per game. Junior M.J. Rhett is the rebounding leader at 9.3 rebounds per game.

Seven players scored at least eight points and all nine SIUE players scored at least a point as Cougar men's basketball came away with a convincing 83-68 road win over Austin Peay at the Dunn Center. The Cougars have now won five of their last seven games and seven of their last 10. Rozell Nunn and Donivine Stewart each scored 17 points in the win. The Cougars combined to shoot 57.1 percent (28-49) from the field, while holding Austin Peay to just 41.2 percent (21-51). The Governors came into the game third in the OVC with a .489 shooting percentage.
Tonight marks just the fifth meeting between the two schools, and only the third since since the Cougars joined the OVC. SIUE has never defeated Tennessee State.
The Cougars connected on 61.2 percent (30-49) of their shots in the road win at UT Martin. It is their highest percentage of the year against a Division I opponent. SIUE has made at least 30 field goals in a game six times this year.
