Southeast Missouri is 1-2 since defeating SIUE Jan. 23. They are 0-2 in the OVC in that time. The Redhawks are 3-6 in the OVC and in fifth place in the West Division, one game behind the Cougars. Junior Jarekious Bradley leads the team in scoring at 20.7 points per game. Preseason OVC Player of the Year Tyler Stone is the rebounding leader with 9.1 per game.

Eastern Illinois freshman Jake Verhagen knocked down three-point baskets on back-to-back possessions late in the second half Saturday to vault the Panthers to a 76-70 win over SIUE in Ohio Valley Conference men's basketball at Lantz Arena.Verhagen's consecutive three-pointers took the Panthers from down four at 63-59 to up two at 65-63. It was the Panther's first lead of the second half, and a lead they would not relinquish. Zach Dickerson hit a jumper from the lane with 1:37 left capping off a 10-0 run by the home team to make it 69-63.
Tonight is the 21st meeting in the series, dating back to NCAA Division II days for both schools. The Cougars have lost two consecutive games in the series, but won 80-77 last season in Edwardsville.
The Cougars connected on 61.2 percent (30-49) of their shots in the UT Martin win. It is their highest percentage of the year against a Division I opponent. SIUE has made at least 30 field goals in a game five times this year.
