EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Under the direction of Coach Lennox Forrester, assistant coaches and players, SIUE men's basketball is ready to help youngsters improve their skills during their summer basketball camps. This year's camp continues to focus on and emphasize hard work, fundamentals, and a competitive atmosphere as a major part of individual growth.
Campers in the SIUE Basketball Camp will benefit from working with the coaches and players, getting a first-hand insight and training for what it takes to improve and develop, on and off the court.
Each four-day session is structured with the type of hands-on teaching that will make a difference in each camper's development as a basketball player. From beginning to end, campers will be exposed to instruction and motivation that will assist beginning and experience players alike.
SIUE Men's Basketball hopes you will be able to join us for a fun and learning experience. SIUE Men's Basketball coaches and players pride themselves on their ability to offer individual attention and are eager to help campers further develop their game, reach their goals, and enjoy their time with us.
On June 7-10, there will be a morning session for campers entering grades 2 through 5. An afternoon session is set for campers entering grades 6 through 9.
On July 19-22, there will be a morning session only for those individuals entering grades 2 through 7.
The cost of the individual camp is $90. Every camper will receive an SIUE Cougar basketball and a camp t-shirt. Application forms are available at www.siuecougars.com/camps/siue-camps.html.
The team camp is June 12-13 for Varsity and JV. The cost is $375 for the team or $35 per junior varsity player.
