THE COUGARS: SIUE has won three straight games and seven of its last eight contests. The Cougars have series wins in each of the last two weekends

HOME COOKING: The Cougars have been better at home this year. SIUE is 12-6 in home games, far eclipsing last year's home win total of four. CONFERENCE CALL: SIUE is playing its eighth Ohio Valley Conference season in 2019. The Cougars have surpassed last year's win total (6) already. Through six series this year, SIUE is 89-136 all-time in league play. The Cougars' best finish was third in 2015 when it was 19-11.
TRIPLE THREAT: The Cougar infield trio of Brady Bunten, Jordan Ross and Justin Perkins turned a rare triple play March 27 at Evansville. It was SIUE's first of the Division I era. It is one of two turned this year in the OVC and one of only 12 in Division I baseball.
SERIES STUFF: Austin Peay leads the all-time series 18-10. SIUE is 5-9 in games in Clarksville, including a three-game sweep of the Governors in 2017. Last year Austin Peay won two of three in Edwardsville.
