Eileen McAllister is in her fourth season as the Head Coach for the cross country program at SIUE.

In 2012, McAllister led the Cougars through their first season at the NCAA Division I level.  Under McAllister's guidance, freshman Clint Kliem set the men's school record for fastest 8K time for a freshman at SIUE, while also posting the second-fastest 10K freshman time in program history.  On the women's side, freshman Kirby Hale had the second-fastest 5K time for a freshman in women's program history, while also moving to sixth on the all-time 6K freshman list.  McAllister continues to recruit young talent who have exceeded expectations and have continued to set personal bests week after week.

McAllister holds a certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a Level II Endurance certification from USA Track and Field. She also is certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as a health and fitness instructor.

Her teams have been competitive at the NCAA Division I level. Two women’s individuals – Kayla Brown and Aftan Noon – have broken into the top 10 best 6K times. She continues to recruit young talent who have exceeded expectations and have continued to set personal bests week after week.

McAllister, who previously served as SIUE’s Strength, Conditioning, and Training Coach, previously has been a personal trainer at The Fitness Edge in St. Louis, and also has been a part of SIUE's athletic staff in several different capacities. She has been an assistant cross country coach, head cross country coach, and assistant track and field coach since 2004. She also served as an assistant cross country and track and field coach as well as a personal trainer and exercise program specialist at the University of Miami.

McAllister holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Washington University in 1999. She also assisted the track and field and cross country programs at Washington University in 2000-2001. McAllister later earned a master's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Miami in 2008.
