Cross Country Heads to Stegemoller Classic

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The SIUE cross country teams look to build on early season success at the Stegemoller Classic in Evansville, Indiana.

"As a team, we had our best week of workouts so far this season," Assistant Coach Kayla Brown said. "Everyone is geared up to race this weekend."

The men have ran five personal records this season through two races. Tyler Owens has had two top-20 finishes, including a 10th place finish and a PR of 25:56.02. Austin Woodard, Matthew O'Connor, Landon Skelly and Liam O'Connell also have run PRs this season.

On the women's side, Haley Miller continues to lead the Cougars. Miller finished 10th at the Walt Crawford Open. Aly Goff ran a PR last week at the Illinois State Invite. 

The men's 8k will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the women's 5k starting at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday.
