COMING INTO THE WEEKEND: SIUE is on a four-match winning streak after sweeping through the Wofford Invitational and a mid-week victory over Chicago State.

COACHING MILESTONE: SIUE Coach Todd Gober has won 198 matches in his career at SIUE. The all-time winningest coach in SIUE volleyball history, Gober needs to extend SIUE's winning streak to break the 200 barrier this weekend.

WHAT A WEEK: After being named the Most Valuable Player of the Wofford Invitational, Sydney Winslow became the seventh player to record 1,000 kills in a career at SIUE. She is the first right-side hitter to achieve the feat. Of the other six, four were middle hitters and two were outside hitters.

MORE ON WOFFORD: SIUE setter Sammi Minton and libero Karie Downing also were named All-Tournament at the Wofford Tournament. SIUE has won two Division I tournaments this season. The Cougars collected a tiebreaker victory at the Drury Inn ISU Classic in Terre Haute, Ind.

VS. CHICAGO STATE: SIUE hit a season-best .440 and held visiting Chicago State to a -.039 hitting percentage. That's the lowest opponent hitting percentage in the Division I era for the Cougars.

SWING AWAY: Freshmen Julia Whitfield and Lexi Cibulka are just behind Winslow, a senior, in kills this season. Both outside hitters, Whitfield and Cibulka have combined for more than 35 percent of SIUE's kills.

INCREASINGLY DEFENSIVE: Libero Karie Downing has a firm hold on the team's dig statistics with 4.12 per set. Next on the list is setter Sammi Minton at 2.47 per set.

NEXT UP: After traveling to Ohio Valley Conference ruivals UT Martin and Murray State, SIUE begins a string of four straight matches at home begining with Missouri State next Tuesday.
