Bob Meyers guided SIUE women's tennis to four consecutive national championships in 1986, 1987, 1988, and 1989. It was an era of Cougar tennis that lives on as one of the best championship runs in NCAA history. While at SIUE, Meyers worked as an assistant athletic director; assistant to the director of Campus Recreation; instructor in the Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Department; as well a men's tennis coach from 1985 to 1990.
