Billikens Top Cougars

O'FALLON, Ill. – Saint Louis collected a trio of three-set singles victories Friday and defeated SIUE women's tennis 6-1 at the St. Clair Tennis Center.

 

Mia Frogner was the lone winner for SIUE women's tennis. Frogner bested Natalia Yacaman 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3 singles. It was the fifth time this season Frogner has won a third-set tiebreaker.

 

Saint Louis, 4-3, won five singles matches overall and the doubles point. Aspen Cervin defeated SIUE's Lexi Aranda 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles. Brooke Urzendowski powered SLU at No. 4 singles with a 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 win over Kali Donner. Madison Cook edged McKenzie Thomas at No. 6 singles 7-6 (7-1), 4-6, 6-4.

 

The Cougars, 4-3, are now idle until March 2nd when they face off against Southern Indiana in a home match in Edwardsville.
