Springer joins the SIUE softball staff for her first season. An All-Midwest Conference and NAIA Region V All-Academic team member at Illinois-Springfield (UIS), she played two seasons with UIS and two at Lewis and Clark Community College. Springer was an NAIA All-American Scholar Athlete in 2006. She also earned All-Conference honors in 2004 from Lewis and Clark. Most recently, she was a member of the constituent outreach staff in the Illinois Senate. She also served as a comprehensive case manager from 2007 to 2009 for Senior Services of Central Illinois. She earned a bachelor of arts in psychology from UIS in 2007. -siue cougars-
