Becki Saylor posted a career record of 77-38 with the Cougars from 1980 to 1984, finishing with an impressive 1.17 earned run average. She owns three of the six lowest ERAs in school history. Saylor helped the Cougars to a second-place finish at the AIAW National Championships in 1982. She threw the first perfect game in school history against Elmhurst in 1984. Her first career no-hitter was a 1983 victory over Saint Louis University. Tied for third in career shutouts with 29, she also is ranked among the top five all-time in strikeouts with 445. She graduated from SIUE in 1985 with a bachelor's degree in health education and a master's degree in 1996 in education administration.
