SIUE Softball Announces Schedule Change

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – SIUE softball Head Coach Sandy Montgomery announced a schedule change for fall exhibition play Saturday at Cougar Field.

The schedule now features SIUE playing a doubleheader against Parkland College starting at noon.

Admission is free for all fans.


SIUE softball is coming off a four-game sweep last weekend, winning games against Washington University, Saint Louis, Wabash Valley and Lindenwood-Belleville.

Zoe Schafer leads the Cougars with a .571 batting average, which included home runs in each game. Freshman Alana Cobb-Adams is next with a .467 batting average that included three triples.

As a team, SIUE is batting .346.

The SIUE pitching staff holds a 1.75 earned run average. Sophomore Emily Ingles holds a 0.00 ERA. Ashley Koziol leads the team in strikeouts with 18 in nine innings pitched. Freshman Corrina Rivas has two victories and is tops on the team in innings pitched at 12.
