PREVIOUSLY: The Cougars fell to Saint Louis 3-0. The Billikens struck in the 42nd minute to start off the scoring. SLU then scored in the 50th and 54th minute to put the Cougars away. Saint Louis out shot SIUE 17-7. 
SCOUTING THE FLAMES: UIC comes into the game with a 1-4 record. Their lone victory coming against Chicago State on Friday. Morgan Carey leads the Flames in points with three (1 goal, 1 assist). 
SERIES INFO: SIUE holds a 2-1 series record against UIC. The two teams met last season with the Cougars winning 3-1.
WHAT A SAVE: Senior captain Juli Rossi has spent every minute in goal this season for the Cougars. She won the Ohio Valley Conference Goalkeeper of the Week honors last week. Rossi is tied for first in the OVC with 24 total saves. 
FRESH START: A few freshmen have played integral parts this season for the Cougars. MacKenzie Litzsinger scored the game winning goal against Cal Poly and she is currently the leader in shots taken (7) for SIUE. Andrea Frerker has started all four games and has recorded one assits. Mallory Mushill, Myah Diekema and Emma Ehrsam have all helped in holding down the back line for the Cougars. Angel Ikeda has also played extensive minutes in the midfield. 
POINT LEADER: Caroline Hoefert leads the Cougars and is tied for third in the OVC in points per game with 1.25. Hoefert had two goals and the game winning assist against Cal Poly.
