EDWARDSVILLE, ILL. - The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women's soccer team hosts IPFW Sunday at Korte Stadium. Kickoff is at 1 p.m.

"We need to keep looking forward and focus on our individual battles on the field," SIUE Coach Derek Burton said. "We have struggled to score goals, but not because of the way we are playing. We are just not shooting well."

SIUE comes into the contest 0-6 following a loss at UT Martin last Sunday. IPFW enters the game 0-5-1. The Mastodons have lost three straight.

SIUE junior midfielder Chelsey Johnston (Wentzville, Mo.) leads the Cougars' attack with two goals. Freshman Kristin Dierker (Groveland) has one goal.

"Chelsey Johnston has been playing with a lot of energy," Burton said.

Sophomore Claire Lovercheck (Florissant, Mo.) will be in goal for SIUE. She has 12 saves in five games.

"Like the rest of the team, Claire has been a little inconsistent this season," Burton said. "We have been working hard to keep improving."
