Cougars Take Ninth at Rain-Shortened Event

Final Results

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The final round of Indiana State's Spring Invitational was rained out Monday, leaving Sunday's first round results as final. SIUE women's golf finished ninth. It was the final regular season competition for the team.

Due to a scoring change, SIUE's final results are slightly different than originally reported Sunday. Brittney Jostes' score was adjusted from 84 to 81 to move the Cougars from 11th place to ninth place with a 321.

Host Indiana State won the team title with a 306. William Woods (310) was second and Western Illinois (313) and Oakland (313) tied for third.

Alison Gorman and Serena Hou each finished with a 79 to tie for 22nd. Jostes tied for 37th with the 81. Miranda Lidisky had an 82 and tied for 42nd. Molly Marcum finished at 85 and tied for 63rd. SIUE's individual, Morgan Clark, finished at 88 and tied for 73rd.

Butler's Laura Tibbets earned medalist honors an even-par 72. Rachel Johnson of Chicago State, Marissa Uradomo of Indiana State and Okland's Elle Nichols tied for second place with a 74.

The Cougars next travel to Huntsville, Alabama for the Ohio Valley Conference championship April 18-20.
