Hood Tabbed as OVC Golfer of the Week
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – SIUE junior golfer Brooke Hood (Coulterville) has been named the Ohio Valley Conference women's golfer of the week after a 10th place finish at the Creighton Classic, SIUE's final tournament of the season.
Hood carded rounds of 83 and 79 en route to the 162. She tied for 10th place out of 82 golfers with Northern Iowa's Sarah Boss. It was Hood's sixth top 10 finish this season.
The Cougars finished the Creighton Classic in fifth place, the team's eighth top five finish of the year.
Hood joins Murray State's Patrick Newcombe who was chosen as the men's Golfer of the Week. This is the second OVC weekly award for the women's golf team. Ashton Stair was named as Golfer of the Week Oct. 5.
