COMMON OPPONENT
SIUE and IPFW share a common opponent already this season. SIUE defeated Valparaiso at the Vadalabene Center 67-64 in overtime to open the season. IPFW lost at Valpo 64-43 in its last outing.
SAME STARTERS
Head Coach Amanda Levens has kept the same lineup in SIUE's first eight games.
OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE
SIUE officially joined the OVC on July 1, 2008. The Cougars begin regular season competition in the OVC this season and will eligible for the OVC Tournament in 2012-13.
SEASON HIGH
Courtney Kenner matched her season high Friday at DePaul with 16 points. She leads the team in assists with 4.6 per game.
500 AND COUNTING
Berry became the 15th player in school history to pass the 500 career rebound mark and is on pace this season to join the top 10 rebounders all-time at SIUE.
TYING THE RECORD
Jazmin Hill's eight three-pointers against Bradley tied the single-game school record set previously by Whitney Sykes against Robert Morris during the 2005-2006 season. Hill, a sophomore, now needs four more three-pointers to become the eighth player in school history to record 100 or more three-pointers in a career.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE
Raven Berry recorded her third double-double of the season with a 12-point, 11-rebound effort at DePaul. Berry is averaging 13.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in road contests this season.
EARLY SIGNINGS
Jordyn Swan (Pewaukee, Wis.) and Jessie Wendt (Sigel) signed National Letters of Intent to play for the Cougars next season. Swan, a 5-11 guard, was a first team All-State selection for Pewaukee High School last season. She averaged 15.7 points and 4.8 rebounds per game last season. Wendt, a 5-11 guard/forward, became Teutopolis' 13th player in school history to pass the 1,000-point scoring mark, completing the feat as a junior.
