• This is the fifth meeting between the Cougars and Salukis with the series tied 2-2 (dating back to 1981). SIUE recorded its largest win during an overtime contest in 2011 (70-60). SIU Carbondale's biggest win came in 2014 in a 71-57 triumph at SIU Arena. The two schools are 1-1 on their own home courts.

LAST GAME (11/21/17)
Donshel Beck and Lauren White ignited the SIUE Cougars as they defeated rival Saint Louis 79-72 at the Vadalabene Center. Beck scored a game-best 23 points and snared 10 rebounds, while White matched her career-high scoring output with 20 points. The Cougars improved to 2-1 and defeated the Billikens for the 12th time in 20 meetings.
SCOUTING SIU CARBONDALE
Four SIU Carbondale players are averaging double figures in scoring after four games. Nicole Martin is the top scorer at 14.0 points per game. Abby Brockmeyer is at 13.8 per game while hitting 64.7 percent (22-34) of her field goals. Kylie Giebelhausen and Makenzie Silvey are next at 13.3 and 11.0 points per game, respectively. The Salukis already have two wins against Ohio Valley Conference opponents - 84-72 at home against UT Martin and 79-74 on the road in overtime at Southeast Missouri.
Donshel Beck became the 24th player to pass the 1,000-point scoring mark at Nebraska. She currently is No. 20 with 1,042 points. Gwen Adams needs 66 points to become No. 25 to hit the mark.
2018 SIGNING CLASS
Coach Buscher announced a class of five who will be joining SIUE next season. The class includes Madison Hackstadt (Okawville, Illinois), Mikala Hall (Danville, Illinois), Mikia Keith (Indianapolis, Ind.),
Kai Koehler (Dunlap, Illinois) and Kelsie Williams (Florissant, Missouri).
Sydney Bauman posted her fourth career double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds against Air Force. It was the second straight game that Bauman has recorded a career high in rebounds after starting the season with 13 against Nebraska.
OFF THE GLASS
The Cougars have been successful on the boards with 32.0 defensive rebounds per game, which is No. 15 nationally. SIUE is ninth nationally in rebounds per game at 49 per contest.
SIUE is ranked No. 2 in the nation in fewest fouls allowed with 42 in three games.
Donshel Beck was selected as a member of the preseason All-OVC. She averaged 14.6 points and 7.5 rebounds per game last season.

SIUE was selected to finish second in the OVC behind defending conference champion Belmont.
