Amanda Pratzel joined the SIUE men's and women's tennis in the fall of 2010. Pratzel, who played Division I tennis at Missouri and Oklahoma, has been named the assistant coach for both the women's and men's tennis programs under new head coach Jason Coomer. A native of Chesterfield, Mo., Pratzel most recently was a graduate assistant at Ball State University. She worked with game operations and academic advising for one year and two seasons with the women's tennis program. She also has served as a volunteer assistant coach at Missouri as well as a tennis instructor at the Missouri Athletic Club in charge of the summer junior tennis programs. As a player at Missouri, Pratzel was tied for 11th on the all-time single-season winning percentage in singles for the 2005-2006 season. She also was selected to the 2007 Academic All-Big 12 first team.
