Cougar Men's Tennis Adds Nicolas Vincent

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - Nicolas Vincent (Gatineau, Quebec, Canada) has joined the SIUE men's tennis team and will begin competing with the Cougars in January, according to Head Coach Jason Coomer.

"Nicolas has had some very impressive junior results," Coomer said. "He is a tireless worker who puts a great deal of emphasis on his conditioning which is evident in his style of play."

Vincent brings a wealth of international tournament experience both in doubles and in singles to SIUE that will assist in his move to NCAA Division I tennis.

He was rated as the No. 32 player in Canada's Under-18 division and ranked No. 8 in the province of Quebec.

"We look forward to working with Nicolas to assist in his development both on the court and in the classroom," Coomer added. "His self-discipline and determination will serve him well as we enter into the regular season portion of our schedule."

Vincent and the rest of the Cougar squad host their first dual matches of the season Jan. 20 and 21 against IUPUI and Wright State, respectively.
