Ed Gettemeier

Ed Gettemeier

A member of the national championship men's soccer team in 1979, Ed Gettemeier went on to set the school record for shutouts with 20 in his goalkeeping career from 1979 to 1982. In the national championship season, Gettemeier was named the Bronze Boot Most Valuable Player. Gettemeier capped his career with All-American honors and the Senior Bowl MVP award after leading the Cougars to four consecutive NCAA appearances, including a Final Four in 1982.<br>
