Polster Earns Call to U.S. National Team Training

CHICAGO – SIUE men's soccer alumnus Matt Polster is one of 30 players selected for the United States Men's National Team's annual January training camp.

Camp opens Jan. 10 in Carson, California. The team will meet Bosnia and Herzegovina on Jan. 28 at the StubHub Center in Carson.

This marks the second time Polster, who plays professionally with the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer, has been included in the January camp for the senior men's side. He also participated in the 2016 camp. Polster also appeared with U-23 team during the 2015 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship.

The native of Las Vegas, Nevada, started 79 games in his SIUE career from 2011-2014, which ranks fifth all-time in program history.
