COLUMBIA, Mo. – SIUE golf placed 10th at the Mizzou Intercollegiate, its final team of event of the regular season.

Most of the team now will turn their focus to the Ohio Valley Conference Championships set for April 23-25 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The Cougars have three individuals headed to the Beu/Massato Invitational in Macomb, Illinois, next week.

Snow and cold temperatures marred the Mizzou Intercollegiate at Old Hawthorne Golf Club, which saw a number of teams restarting Tuesday in round two. SIUE played nine holes of round two to begin the day and shot a second-round 296. The Cougars closed out the third round with a 300. SIUE's three-round total was 890.

Kyle Slattery paced the Cougars with steady rounds of 74-73-73 to tie for 31st place at 220.

Brady Dixon and Jordan Harre were next for the Cougars in 40th place at 223. Danny Gorman tied for 49th at 226. Conor Dore tied for 58th at 228. Austin Glendinning was tied for 69th at 230.

No. 40-ranked and tournament host Missouri won the team title with an 839. The Tigers bested runner-up Kansas State by 11 strokes.
