COLUMBIA, Mo. – SIUE golf is taking part in its last team event of the regular season: the Mizzou Intercollegiate. Because of snow and cold temperatures, the tournament started late Monday and teams were not able to finish two full rounds.
The Cougars fired a first-round 294 to place ninth. SIUE golfers made it through nine holes in round two Monday.
Host Missouri led the way with a 275 in the first round. Kansas State (281) and Missouri State (282) were second and third, respectively, through the first round.
Brady Dixon and Danny Gorman each posted a 73 in the first round. Jordan Harre and Kyle Slattery both turned in first-round scores of 74. Austin Glendinning shot a 76. Conor Dore, representing SIUE as an individual, carded an 81 in the first round.
Round two will resume Tuesday morning, followed by the final 18-hole round at Old Hawthorne Golf Club.
