OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Five SIUE golfers are among the top 15 and SIUE currently is fourth of 12 teams after the first two rounds at UMKC's Bill Ross Intercollegiate.
The Cougars posted rounds of 290-290 Monday and their combined 580 is three strokes behind South Dakota for third place. Grand Canyon leads the way at 572. UMKC is second at 574.
Individually, Danny Gorman is tied for fifth place at 142 (-2) to lead SIUE. Jordan Harre, who is playing as an individual, is tied for ninth place at one-over-par 145. Kyle Slattery, Austin Glendinning and Brady Dixon are among 10 players tied for 13th place at 146. Conor Dore has a 156 and is tied for 52nd.
South Dakota's Matt Tolan has a 138 (-6) and is atop the leaderboard. Francois Lagraulet of UMKC is two shots off the lead. Missouri State's Jack Knoesel and Grand Canyon's Vinnie Murphy are tied for third at 141.
The final 18-hole round is scheduled for Tuesday at Milburn Golf and Country Club.
