Golf Finishes Seventh at EKU

Final Results

RICHMOND, Ky. – SIUE golf finished in seventh place of 16 teams at the Eastern Kentucky Intercollegiate completed Sunday at the University Club at Arlington.

The Cougars finished with a 54-hole total of 859. SIUE was just five strokes back of a top-four finish. Host EKU won the team title at 837. Longwood took second with an 849. Dayton was third at 853.

Individually for the Cougars, Kyle Slattery and Conor Dore were among five golfers to finish at 212 (+2). They tied for 12th place. Danny Gorman, playing as an individual, tied for 20th place with a 214.

Spencer Underwood tied for 58th place at 221. Brady Dixon and Austin Glendinning tied for 62nd place at 222.

Longwood's Jordan Boulton claimed medalist honors with a 204 (-6). EKU's Noah Combs finished one shot back in second place.

SIUE will next be in action at its own tournament, the Derek Dolenc Invitational presented by DoubleTree Hotels, which takes place Sept. 25-26 at Gateway National Golf Links.
