RICHMOND, Ky. – SIUE golf tied the fourth-lowest round in school history with a 282 in the second round of the Eastern Kentucky Intercollegiate. The Cougars finished the day tied for seventh with Tennessee Tech. Both schools have a 36-hole total of 570.
Host EKU leads the team competition with a 562. Ball State is four shots off the lead in second place. Morehead State and Marshall are tied for third place at 567.
Individually for the Cougars, Kyle Slattery paced the Cougars. He is tied for sixth place at 139 (-1). Conor Dore is tied for 12th place and is even through the first two rounds. Danny Gorman, playing as an individual, is tied for 23rd at 142. Spencer Underwood is tied for 38th at 144. Underwood carded a career-low 71 in the first round. Austin Glendinning is tied for 59th at 148. Glendinning fired a career-best 71 in the second round. Brady Dixon (152) is tied for 78th.
Ball State's Johnny Watts and Cleveland State's Blake Prince are tied atop the individual leaderboard at 136 (-4).
SIUE's final round will get underway beginning at 7:30 a.m. CT Sunday at the University Club at Arlington.
