COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – SIUE golf fired its best round of the tournament, shooting a 290 in the final round of the Air Force Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational.
The Cougars finished the 54-hole tournament at 894 to tie with Southern Utah for 18th place. Wyoming captured the team title with an 835. Colorado State finished second at 840. Colorado took third with an 845. UNLV finished at 851 for fourth place. Utah took fifth with an 852.
Brady Dixon finished at 220 (+2) to pace the Cougars. He tied for 50th place. Kyle Slattery tied for 56th place with a 221. Conor Dore's 222 tied for 63rd place. Danny Gorman (231) tied for 95th. Spencer Underwood (237) tied for 107th.
John Murdock of Wyoming finished at 14-under par (202) to claim medalist honors. Colorado State's Max Oelfke finished in second place at 207.
The Cougars return to the course Saturday to begin the EKU Intercollegiate, sponsored by Raising Canes.
