COLUMBIA, Mo. – All five Cougar golfers are among the top 40, and SIUE is fourth in an 18-team field after two rounds at Missouri's Tiger Invitational.
The Cougars sit at 597 after the first day of competition at the Club at Old Hawthorne. Missouri has a 578 to lead its own tournament. Northern Illinois is second with a 589. Austin Peay is one shot ahead of the Cougars in third place.
Conor Dore paced the Cougars through two rounds. He is tied for 16th with a 149. Danny Gorman is one shot back at 150. Gorman is tied for 23rd. Luke Long and Brady Dixon are tied for 27th. Each have a 151. Kyle Slattery has a 153 and is tied for 40th.
Austin Crowder of Northern Illinois has a 137 (-7) to sit atop the individual leaderboard. Illinois State's Zach Burry is second with a 140. Missouri's Matt Echelmeier is third with a 142 (-2).
The final 18-hole round gets underway with an 8 a.m.-shotgun start Tuesday.
