SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Danny Gorman fired a career-low round of 68 in the second round, has a combined 140 and sits in third place after the first two rounds of Missouri State's Twin Oaks Intercollegiate.
Gorman shot a 72 in the first round and his 140 has him just three strokes off the lead. Bradley's Ethan Brue is atop the leaderboard with a 137. Adam Fisher of Missouri State is in second place with a 139.
As a team, the Cougars are just six shots behind leader, Missouri State. The Cougars combined for a 581. Missouri State has a 575. Bradley is in second place with a 577. Western Illinois is in fourth place with a 583. Texas-Rio Grande Valley and Northern Iowa are tied for fifth place at 587.
Also for SIUE, Luke Long is tied for 15th with a 146. Conor Dore has a 147 and is tied for 22nd place. Jordan Harre, who is playing as one of SIUE's individuals, checked in with a 149 and is tied for 28th. Kyle Slattery has a 153 and is tied for 43rd. Brady Dixon is tied for 49th with a 153. Spencer Underwood, the Cougars' second individual, is tied for 67th with a 164.
The final 18-hole round gets underway with tee times Tuesday morning at Twin Oaks Country Club.
