GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Luke Long and Kyle Slattery each finished at five-under par 211 to tie for 10th place, while SIUE golf tied for 12th at the Loyola Intercollegiate completed Monday at the Palm Valley Golf Club.
The top-10 finish is the first career top-10 finish for Long. It is the second this season for Slattery. It also is the fifth career top-10 finish for Slattery, who turned in three last season.
Jordan Harre, competing as SIUE's individual, finished at 220 to tie for 58th.
The Cougars fired a 290 in Monday's third round and finished at 871 to tie with hosts Loyola-Maryland. Connecticut (834) overtook Eastern Michigan (841) to claim the team title. Elon finished at 847 for third place. Arkansas State and Northern Illinois tied for fourth with an 849.
The Cougars return to the course for the Bradley Spring Invite March 13 and 14 in Dallas, Texas.
